For information on the conservation status of the fish included in this project, the Marine Conservation Society’s Good Fish Guide contains up to date information and a traffic light style rating system to help people make sustainable choices.
The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea issues scientific advice every year on the status of commercial fish stocks and the recommended total catches of those stocks each year in line with Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY).
